Arapahoe County and Denver County Colorado Databases
Arapahoe County (below) was Created Nov. 1, 1861.
In 1901 the NorthWestern portion was split to create Denver County(below) and Adams County.
In 1903 the eastern half of Arapahoe County was added to Washington and Yuma Counties.
City of Denver, the capital of Colorado, was established by a party of prospectors on November 22, 1858, 3 years before Colorado Territory, in 1861.
